Harishchandragad is one of the oldest hill forts in Ahmednagar region of Maharashtra. The fort is ancient and very big located near Malshej Ghat. The Great sage Changdev (one who created the epic Tatvasaar), used to meditate on Taramati/Rohidas in 14th century. The caves are also from the same period.

The Harishchandragad peak (1424 mts), is a favourite point for  trekkers. It is also unique because here the semi-circular rock wall of the Konkan Kada has an atmospheric pressure that causes a coin to defy gravity and be blown upwards from the basin.
